In March, just as lockdown hit the UK, our tenth franchise store in Swindon was just days away from launch. Not to be held back, franchise owners Amy and Adam began to offer takeaway and delivery and were immediately receiving rave reviews! They have built a loyal following of regulars, and local delivery of their lunches and indulgent treats have been in high-demand from people who still had to go in to work.
Whilst these are challenging times for everyone, Love Brownies has gone from strength to strength, using the time to build on their proposition and prepare for upcoming high street openings. There are multiple stores now offering takeaway and delivery, delighting customers who have craved their favourite treats during lockdown.
With a reduced-size team in the head office bakery, business owner and head chef Chantal Teal has been literally baking around the clock to keep up with customer demand! The stream of positive comments from customers provides motivation for the team, keen to continue to spread a little joy with their indulgent chocolate treats.
With travel regulations easing, the Love Brownies team and its contractors are poised to continue with the development of new venues. Hot on the heels of Swindon will be Love Brownies Clapham, a 20-seater café on Clapham high street. Opening in July in a much sought-after location, Love Brownies Clapham will really strengthen the brand’s profile in London, adding to the current stores in Southgate and Islington.
