The Collective City Games (CCG) is pleased to announce that it has confirmed three weekends in May 2022 at the Crystal Palace athletics stadium for the CCG national competition. Three further dates for the competition, outside of London at Gateshead and/or Alexander Stadium Birmingham will be announced soon.

The Crystal Palace athletics stadium accommodates 16,500 clients with covered seating for 9,500 clients. The Crystal Palace stadium is in South London and has a rich history of hosting national and international championships. The London Grand Prix which eventually became the Anniversary Games were held at Crystal Palace between 1953 and 2011 and the Crystal Palace site has borne witness to numerous world records including three world records set by the great Yelena Isinbaeva in the women’s pole vault. Crystal Palace has also been the venue for great performances by fantastic athletes such as Tyson Gay in the 100 metres (9.78 seconds), Usain Bolt in the 200 metres (19.76 seconds), and Michael Johnson in the 400 metres (43.98 seconds). The CCG will provide numerous opportunities for many more great performances to be witnessed.

The CCG is an annual national team athletics championship in which franchise city teams compete to establish which city is BEST! The competition will feature 12 city teams that will compete over three rounds of two-day competition. The CCG will be an enthralling and exciting athletics competition which will feature teams competing over events including favourites such as the 100 metres, 200 metres and 400 metres but also equally important events such as the 5,000 metres, javelin throw and shot put. The CCG itinerary is packed full of highly competitive jumps, throws and races which will be enthusiastically supported by the spectators.

CCG franchise teams are currently available. Wouldn’t you have liked to purchase the L A Lakers NBA basketball team currently valued at $4.6 Billion when it first moved to Los Angeles in the sixties. Similarly, wouldn’t it have been great to purchase the Mumbai Indians (currently valued at $106 Million) cricket team in the IPL right at the outset. For a limited time, there are opportunities to be the owner of the franchise for a city team in the CCG Championship for a very modest outlay. Franchise teams available immediately include Glasgow, Newcastle, London, and Manchester.
