The former owner of multiple businesses in South and Mid Wales is launching oven valeting service, Ovenu Telford South.
Andrew Bowcott has spent more than 20 years as his own boss with business interests that began with his own seafront ice cream kiosk, a local newsagent in Aberystwyth, and more recently operating a refrigerated transport company.
Andrew, who has thoroughly enjoyed his varied and successful business life, said: “Any successful entrepreneur knows that integrity, quality and a team ethos are the most important aspects of any business franchise, however now I have a family with a five-year-old son, it is time to come off the road and spend more time with the family.”

Andrew, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday, is focused on building up a loyal customer base for Ovenu Telford South but has plans to grow the business and eventually operate extra vans and technicians.

Andrew, who was born in Worcester, but has lived in Wales for most of his life, moved to Telford two years ago.

“As a former business to business owner, spending a lot of my time both on the road and in an office environment, I am looking forward to getting out and about and meeting people.”

The valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them in a design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
