An expanding Leeds-based oven valeting firm is set for growth as it commits to further job creation.

Ovenu Leeds is creating a new technician role to strengthen its team of professional oven valeters.

The firm, which is owned by entrepreneur Richard Greenwood, who also operates Ovenu franchises in Bradford and Wakefield, carries out more than 50 oven valets per week across West Yorkshire.

With the appointment, Mr Greenwood is expecting additional growth in the number of jobs in 2018, alongside the strong repeat business from existing clients and referrals, which account for 70% of the firm’s business activity.

He said: “We are looking to hit the ground running in the New Year and by further strengthening our team this sets Ovenu up perfectly for further growth and to meet increased demand for our services. Winter is traditionally our busiest time of year, and this positivity has followed into January, with our order book continuing to grow.

“The recruitment of a technician will complement our all-round offering to clients, while also creating a self-employment opportunity in the region. I am expecting that we will be in a position to grow the team further over the course of the year, as well as throughout Ovenu’s network in West Yorkshire.”

Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.

Rik Hellewell, Managing Director and Founder of Ovenu, said: “Richard has continued to grow his business from strength to strength and this latest addition to his team will support the continued success of the firm. I would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”

The Ovenu valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them into design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
