Lingotot Expands Network Amid Third National Lockdown

Lingotot recently welcomed four new franchisees who joined them amid the third national lockdown in England. While the past year has been tiresome and challenging in many ways, it is refreshing to hear that businesses are continuing to expand and succeed.

Lingotot began franchising in 2010, and now proudly boasts a network of over 50 franchisees. However, like many businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic affected the way in which the education franchise operates. Their interactive and fun language classes for children usually take place in schools, nurseries and communities across the UK and with the pandemic came the closure of these sites. However, Lingotot was prepared.

In order to overcome the complications that lockdowns and restrictions gave rise to in terms of teaching, they introduced innovative ways to safely continue lessons. They launched a Forest School programme, allowing for socially distanced outdoor learning, created a Summer School programme, and had a new interactive online learning platform ready in time for the first day of lockdown one. While schools currently remain closed until March, their online platform has been incredibly successful and allowed children all over the UK to continue their language education.

Joining the Lingotot family amongst these new norms are Claire Davis (Lingotot Maidenhead), Sarah O’Flaherty (Lingotot Eastbourne), Monica Moreno (Lingotot South Havering) and Catherine Garrett (Lingotot West Oxford). Each of the newest members of the Lingotot network are from different backgrounds and areas, however they all realised the opportunity Lingotot represents to take back control of their careers and do a job they really love. They are now getting ready to launch their local businesses online and preparing some fantastic classes for when the nation begins to ease out of lockdown.

Angela Sterling, founder and CEO of Lingotot, says ‘we are over the moon to be welcoming these four fantastic ladies into the Lingotot family. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to be a part of their dream and to help them to establish their own businesses. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them all!’
