Revive Auto Innovations held its 20th annual conference at the weekend – and what a celebration it was!

Owners and joint managing directors Terry Mullen and Mark Llewellyn welcomed everyone to the home of England football, St George’s Park to open the 2024 conference and share their memories of the previous two decades. The UK’s leading SMART repair network had seen its best year ever, achieving a record £21m sales, welcoming seven new franchisees, with awards raining down on the franchise and Revive! business owners alike.

Said Mark Llewellyn: “Our 20th conference has been a great opportunity to get everyone together, celebrate our record performance over the past twelve months and focus on what we need to do to take us to the next level, whilst at the same time having a lot of fun! We had a look back at our early days, before switching the focus to our ambitions and plans for the next few years ahead.”

Added Terry Mullen: “We are so proud of our amazing network of franchisees and our great team at Head Office who support them. Our values of Integrity, Outstanding Customer Service, Technical Excellence and Unity are as strong today as they were 20 years ago and we love being able to bring our network together to celebrate our success and share our vision and plans for the future.”

Revive! was named Franchise of the Year in the Leadership and Culture category of the 2023 HSBC bfa British Franchise Awards and achieved a top position in the European Franchise Awards. As holder of the elite Platinum IIP status, it was a finalist in the UK Employer of the Year Platinum category in the Investors in People (IIP) Awards 2023. Revive! is also in the running for the HSBC Exceptional Franchise Performance award in the EF100 awards after placing in the coveted top ten of the EF100 league table.

Throughout the Revive! network franchisees achieved record month after record month, with 60% reporting their best year to date. Revive! Northern Ireland and Revive! Gloucester were named Start up Business of the Year in their regions and six others reached the finals in local business awards.

The annual conference gives the Revive! ‘family’ of franchises and head office staff opportunity to spend time together, meet suppliers and hear keynote presentations from leading franchise and automotive industry speakers, which this year were Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchise Association and Mike Monaghan owner of Auto-motivate.

Some of the long-standing Revive! franchise owners shared their personal journeys on the day, giving inspiration for others looking to emulate their success and five, ten and fifteen year anniversaries were celebrated on the day too.

Traditionally the conference closes with a fun-filled award gala dinner at which outstanding individual performances are recognised. The evening started with a charity fundraiser in memory of Surrey franchisee Jay Belam’s brother, raising £2000 for the Marie Curie charity.

For 2024, the top Gold Revive! Franchisee of the Year Award was presented to Nathan Holmes, Adam Holmes and Andy Blackhurst, joint owners of Revive! East Anglia. Silver went to Russell Hudson at Revive! West Lincs and Bronze to husband and wife team Jai and Reena Patel from Revive! Gloucester. Revive! Technician of the Year (North) was awarded jointly to Darren Cheshire from Revive! Trafford and Dean Paterson from Revive! Aberdeen. For the South, technicians Matt North from Revive! Surrey and Sam Scotford from Revive! Northampton were also joint winners.

The Customer Service Award was won by Mark Pronger of Revive! Northern Ireland, whilst Russell Hudson picked up his second award of the evening for outstanding retail performance. The Marketer of the Year Award went to Scott Gosbell from Revive! Stoke and Steve Thatcher from Revive! Portsmouth won the Brand Ambassador Award for his support of other franchisees and his commitment to Revive!’s value of unity.

Revive! would like to thank conference sponsors: Appletons, LKQ Coatings, DeVilbiss, Farecla, Kings Fleet Services, Clover, Alliance, Jaytees Ltd, Cottons Chartered Accountants, Akzo Nobel, Advantec and Mirka for their generous support.
