This May, ServiceMaster Live, a gathering of franchisees from across the ServiceMaster UK brand family, saw ServiceMaster franchisees and their teams recognised for their hard work in customer service, sales, and marketing efforts, resilience, growth and more over the past year.
The awards ceremony, which took place at the close of a jam-packed day full of connections, networking and inspiring presentations, saw Andrew Smith of ServiceMaster Clean North Norfolk win the highly coveted award for business growth. It is the goal of every business to follow a clear trajectory of growth – but doing so can take monumental effort. Particularly during the difficult and unprecedented times that we have all faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, business owners have been forced to adapt to survive, let alone thrive. But Andrew has been able to take advantage of a bad situation and continue to carry out the same quality cleaning service that his regular clients expect, by working through the pandemic to carry out his bespoke carpet, upholstery and hard floor cleaning services. This has meant the implementation of new working standards and new technologies and the support of his expanding and fantastic team of technicians.
Andrew says that the growth award has been vindicating, as a recognition of the hard work he has put in over the past year. He says that he and his team “were over the moon to have received this award. When you put so much time and effort into something,” he says, “it is always very rewarding to see it has paid dividends in the growth of your business, especially in these testing times.”
He says that he is now looking “to continue this growth and [is] currently looking at recruiting for a new technician to help assist with [his business’s] growth.”
