A NEW food delivery business which aims to support community groups and charities through order donation has launched in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.

Simply Takeout launched across the conurbation on Friday, September 4, and the community-focused company already has 17 local restaurants signed up, including Fireaway Pizza, Grill Shack & Tikki Bar, Quay Hog Roast & Grill and Fresco.

Abdul’s Indian and Bengali restaurant in Bournemouth is one of the first restaurants to sign up to the platform (pictured).

“We’re really proud of our restaurant, we get such amazing feedback on our food, and we’re looking forward to sharing our Indian & Bengali Cuisine with more local people via the Simply Takeout app.”

Customers are able to order food through the brand’s app and website where they will find a wide range of cuisines from sushi to pasta, and Caribbean food to Indian.

While other food delivery services charge restaurants and take-outs anywhere between 14 to 30 per cent commission on each order, Simply Takeout offer their service to local eateries for nine and a half per cent.

Ben Jacomb, Regional Director of Simply Takeout said: “We worked hard behind the scenes for two years to create the best version of the Simply Takeout app and we can’t wait to launch it.

“We are thrilled to have businesses, like Abdul’s Indian and Bengali restaurant, join the app who share the same community values as us.”

Simply Takeout offers local charities, clubs, and community groups the opportunity to earn money through its affiliate scheme, with the organisation receiving 10 per cent of someone’s first order and two and a half per cent of all subsequent orders.

Martin Stockley, Business Development Manager at The Junction Sports & Leisure Centre, a YMCA Gym in Broadstone, and one of the charities Simply Takeout will be supporting, said: “We were delighted when Ben got in touch.

“The Junction is at the very heart of our local community and is supported by such a great community-focussed business means the world to both us and our members.

“Our aim is to continue delivering essential services to the local community, and the support of businesses such as Simply Takeout is vital in enabling us to do this.”
