A new food delivery service which acts as a partner to restaurants and takeaways while actively supporting community initiatives and charities has launched across the BCP area.

Already 17 businesses have signed up with Simply Takeout including Fireaway Pizza, Grill Shack & Tikki Bar, Quay Hog Roast & Grill and Fresco.

Customers order food through the brand’s app and website where they will find a wide range of cuisines from sushi to pasta and Caribbean to Indian.

The online ordering process – described as quick, easy, and accessible to all ages – includes foods from companies which may not have previously taken part in a delivery service because of high commission fees.

Simply Takeout charges 9.5 per cent per order compared to other food delivery services which can charge anything from 14 to 30 per cent.

It also offers local charities, clubs, and community groups the opportunity to earn money through its affiliate scheme.

The organisation receives ten per cent of someone’s first order, and 2.5 per cent of all subsequent orders.

Simply Takeout, which is a franchise, uses the example of an affiliate organisation which gets 500 people to register.

If these people placed an average first order of £25, they would earn £1,250.

And if the same 500 people ordered once per month over the year then the organisation would earn an additional £3,750 per annum.

For sports clubs or media, money earned will be spent back with the organisation by way of marketing and/or PR strategies.

So far 16 affiliates have signed up including Hot Radio, Sunny Bird PR and South Coast Media.

They also include three charities: The Junction Sports & Leisure Centre – a YMCA Gym in Broadstone, Liberty Owl & Reptile Centre and Health Bus.

Martin Stockley, Business Development Manager, The Junction, said: “The Junction is at the very heart of our local community and being supported by such a great community focused business means the world to both us and our members.”

One of the first restaurants to join the platform is Abdul’s Indian and Bengali restaurant in Bournemouth.

Anshur Ahmed, of Abdul’s, said: “I’m really excited about this partnership, and proud to be working with a business that supports local charities as well as offering us a great service.

“We’re really proud of our restaurant, we get such amazing feedback on our food, and we’re looking forward to sharing our Indian and Bengali Cuisine with more local people via the Simply Takeout app.”

Ben Jacomb, Regional Director, Simply Takeout, said: “We’ve worked hard behind the scenes for two years to create the best version of the Simply Takeout app and we can’t wait to launch it.

“We are thrilled to have businesses, like Abdul’s Indian and Bengali restaurant, join the app who share the same community values as us.”

The Simply Takeout team will be at the Sovereign Centre, Boscombe, on Wednesday, September 9, Friday September 18 and Saturday, September 19 with a chance to win a free takeaway for a year,

The 17 restaurants and takeaways signed up to the platform so far are Fireaway Pizza, Ki-Cchin Sushi, The Taj Mahal, Eaters Pizza, Indian Ocean, Fresco grill, Naan, Tatnam Tandoori, Quay Hog Roast & Grill, Jb’s Fish & Chips, Chickie One, Fresh Food Bournemouth, Grill Shack & Tikki Bar, Tasty Food, Chicko Pizzo, Abduls Indian and The Priory Fryer.
