{"id":11644,"date":"2021-11-12T12:03:41","date_gmt":"2021-11-12T12:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=11644"},"modified":"2022-01-27T10:50:08","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T10:50:08","slug":"hospitable-greg-launches-oven-cleaning-business-ovenu-andover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/hospitable-greg-launches-oven-cleaning-business-ovenu-andover\/","title":{"rendered":"Hospitable Greg launches oven cleaning business, Ovenu Andover"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><p>Greg Clarke has teed up a perfect change of career after launching oven valeting service, Ovenu Andover.<\/p>\n<p>Having spent 40 years in the hospitality industry \u2013 most recently as house manager at Basingstoke Golf Club \u2013 he\u2019s confident that he has the skills and experience to deliver on great customer service.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI\u2019ve spent my whole life in the hospitality industry, including pubs, hotels and social clubs, so hard work and attention to detail is nothing new.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m also used to ensuring equipment is kept spotlessly clean, as well as developing a rapport with clients, so running an oven cleaning business is a natural progression!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The pandemic and resulting lockdowns created uncertainties around his previous role and prompted him to start his own business.<\/p>\n<p>A keen golfer and Southampton FC fan, he is looking forward to being able to devote more time to his hobbies and his family, which includes his wife of 41 years, three grown-up children and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving been in hospitality has meant I\u2019ve missed out on many important occasions over the years, but being my own boss allows me to structure my working life around my family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve completed a five-day Ovenu induction training programme, which not only schooled me in oven cleaning, and using the equipment and products, but also gave me advice and tips on how to run a successful business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s great to know that I have a market leading brand behind me and to know I\u2019m not on my own \u2013 and that I will continue to receive ongoing support from the franchise. I\u2019m looking forward to building up this business, establishing a strong customer base and a reputation for a quality service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rik Hellewell, founder and managing director of the Ovenu franchise said: \u201cGreg\u2019s experience in the hospitality industry has instilled in him a wide range of skills that will ensure his business thrives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As well as the town, Ovenu Andover also covers Ludgershall, Faccombe, St Mary Bourne, Ibthorpe, Stockbridge, Middle Wallop, and surrounding areas.
