Chrysalis People Solutions is no different \u2013 here is an insight into what motivated Marie Piercy, Managing Director of Chrysalis, to establish and grow the company into the business it is today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor many years I was that mum that dropped the children off early at nursery and was last to collect, I\u2019d run around giving them their tea and putting them to bed so I could get back to work. During the holidays they would go to holiday clubs and be passed around family and friends. There were many times I\u2019d have left the house before they woke and returned when they were in bed.<\/p>\n<p>And as much as I loved my job I felt guilty all of the time \u2013 guilty when I was working and guilty when I wasn\u2019t, guilty that I wasn\u2019t spending time with the kids during the holidays, guilty that I wasn\u2019t reading them their bedtime stories, the list goes on.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017 when we went on holiday as a family my eldest who was 7 at the time turned to me and said \u2018it\u2019s great to spend time with you mum\u2019. My heart shattered, how had I got it so wrong. Everything I did was for my family, I worked hard so we could have the nice things in life but in all of that, I wasn\u2019t giving my children what they desperately needed, me!<\/p>\n<p>We returned from holiday, I resigned and Chrysalis was born.<\/p>\n<p>Chrysalis was to be a recruitment business like no other, driven on real values whilst separating us from the traditional agency methods.
