{"id":16817,"date":"2022-11-23T16:14:07","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T16:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=16817"},"modified":"2022-11-23T16:14:07","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T16:14:07","slug":"further-sector-funding-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/further-sector-funding-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Further Sector Funding Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p>In 2021 the government announced extra funding of \u00a3200 million per year that\u00a0would be directed to local councils to support disadvantaged children access holiday activities and food (HAF) across England.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve been working as a delivery partner to lots of councils across England and the funding has had a significant impact on our business with over <strong>\u00a31 million pound of funding\u00a0<\/strong>accessed by our network in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>This has resulted in over\u00a0<strong>15,000 children<\/strong>\u00a0being able to\u00a0access our holiday activities that otherwise might not have been able to do so due to financial reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Founder and Managing Director Eddie Ray said, <em>\u201cBeing able to give more children the opportunity to be active is great.
