Who is Penny Schlyer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Penny is an expert in marketing, leadership, and team management.<\/p>\n

Before joining FocalPoint, Penny had several leadership roles in marketing at companies spanning the Fortune 50, to small and mid-sized businesses including IBM, HERE Technologies, and Genesys. Penny is known for her pioneering spirit, establishing high performing global teams that deliver go-to-market strategies that fuel sales and marketing.<\/p>\n

Why did Penny make a career change?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Penny made a career change because she found that the best part of her career was developing strong and well-respected teams who were fully invested in success of the company and its partners. She was seeing the same pattern across companies where team leadership is a gap, and was consistently filling that gap with her ability to bring people together to reach a common goal. Penny wants to take that energy and make it the focus of her career, and what better way than through her own business.<\/p>\n

A graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management with her Masters in International Marketing, Penny is a mother of three boys, and an avid runner – 375 days and counting. She and her family live in a Duneland community in Northwest Indiana, so they spend their days and nights at the beach of Lake Michigan, hiking the dunes and generally enjoying nature.<\/p>\n
