{"id":17994,"date":"2023-03-17T17:00:47","date_gmt":"2023-03-17T17:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=17994"},"modified":"2023-03-17T15:16:43","modified_gmt":"2023-03-17T15:16:43","slug":"taxassist-stourbridge-welcomes-new-owner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/taxassist-stourbridge-welcomes-new-owner\/","title":{"rendered":"TaxAssist Stourbridge welcomes new owner"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p><strong>TaxAssist franchisee Kully Sahota has purchased Melvyn Shephard\u2019s franchise.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 14 successful years as a TaxAssist Accountant, Melvyn Shephard has sold his franchise to fellow franchisee Kully Sahota.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve hugely enjoyed running my own practice, but the time has come to pass on the reins and retire,\u201d said Melvyn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to continue working in the practice for a short time during a hand over period, but Kully is a very experienced accountant and my clients will be in excellent hands going forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy thanks go to the TaxAssist Support Centre team for their help and guidance over the years, without whom I doubt I would have built such a successful practice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kully joined TaxAssist Accountants in 2015 and has always had the intention of expanding his business both by organic growth and by acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI currently operate from five locations in and around Birmingham and when I learnt that Melvyn\u2019s practice was for sale, I decided it was a great opportunity to expand and take my business to the next level,\u201d said Kully.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am looking forward to working with existing staff to grow the practice further, which includes plans to open a new shop in Hagley.
