(Re)introducing Merry Maids Northampton, bringing brand new and improved cleaning to Northampton and the surrounding areas like never before.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Merry Maids Northampton\u00a0has reopened this week under the management of franchisor ServiceMaster Ltd.<\/p>\n

The business, which provides high-quality, bespoke and professional home cleaning services to residents in Northampton and the surrounding areas, ran for 18 years under the ownership of Barbara and Martin Smart.<\/p>\n

After facing hard times during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was forced to close as lockdowns threatened the retirement plans of its owners.<\/p>\n

This year, the business has come under the management of Merry Maids\u2019 franchisor, ServiceMaster Ltd.<\/p>\n

Office Manager Becky Gardner started as a part-time cleaner in 2011, \u201cwhich worked wonders for me with the two young children,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a perfect job. And I loved cleaning. I took pride in cleaning. It\u2019s always been nice to go into a customer\u2019s house and make it all nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

She became Office Manager when Barbara and Martin retired and is being supported in the reopening by the ServiceMaster team, including\u00a0Merry Maids Brand Leader Vikki Donnachie.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne day, my old boss called me into the office and said she needed an Office Manager to take over the day-to-day role of going out, doing quotes, seeing off the girls, sorting out the bays and the folders.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cVikki has been amazing. She\u2019s been there every step of the way. It\u2019s been useful to have that support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under Becky and Vikki\u2019s supervision, Merry Maids Northampton has transformed, moving from a small unit to a brand-new office unit alongside ServiceMaster\u2019s Northampton-based contract cleaning franchise.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt first, it was scary, but we\u2019re fully operating from the new unit now. We absolutely love it. The girls are so happy!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve just rolled with it. The girls have been amazing. We all get on really well. They\u2019ve supported me, and I them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Becky and Vikki have big plans for the business.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want it to grow and get bigger and bigger,\u201d says Becky.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve got loyal customers. I want to build from that to get more customers, get more staff in and build Merry Maids to as big as we possibly can.\u201d<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve got the space now. We\u2019ve got the unit, we\u2019ve got the facilities, we\u2019ve got it all now. It\u2019s just growing and making it as best as we can make it. Which I\u2019m excited about!\u201d<\/p>\n

Vikki adds:<\/p>\n
