At Petpals, the team at head office and franchisees throughout the network are rallying behind Franchise Support Manager Tracey Dawber as she tackles this year\u2019s London Marathon. Tracey\u2019s participation in the marathon is not only a personal challenge but also a heartfelt initiative in support of Cats Protection \u2013 a cause close to the heart of the Petpals brand.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more excited to be lacing up my running shoes to support such a worthy cause,\u201d said Tracey. \u201cIf you\u2019re wondering where you can find me, I\u2019ll be running around my local country lanes in Andover \u2013 supported by my husband and daughter, who will be cycling and rollerblading alongside me, cheering me on as I gear up for the big day. It\u2019s been tough, but knowing I have my family and the entire Petpals network behind me makes me focused on pushing closer to my goal and the chance to make a meaningful difference to Cats Protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cats Protection not only rehomes abandoned cats but also advocates for cats by campaigning for change across the UK. It offers education in the form of free talks, lesson plans, information packs and interactive activities. Recently, it launched a free and confidential fostering service for cats whose families are fleeing domestic abuse so they can rest assured their cat will be taken care of until they can be safely reunited.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time Tracey has pushed herself to her limits for a good cause. In 2023, she participated in the London Marathon for the first time and raised \u00a32,000 for Dogs Trust. This year, she hopes to achieve a similar feat for Cats Protection and has already managed to raise more than 70 per cent of her target.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I announced I was taking part again this year, everyone thought I was mad!\u201d explained Tracey. \u201cBut the tireless commitment to the welfare of our feline friends at Cats Protection resonated with me and the Petpals team so much that I knew I had to take part again. They often get overlooked in favour of more socially popular charities, so they especially need our help. I\u2019m so grateful for all the support and donations I\u2019ve received, and I\u2019m determined to make everyone proud \u2013 including our much-loved feline companions!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tracey\u2019s participation in the London Marathon is just one example of the many initiatives undertaken by members of the Petpals network to ensure they uphold the brand\u2019s commitment to pet care and welfare.<\/p>\n
