Retail business owner, Bal, has taken the exciting step into the health and fitness industry with the opening of the brand-new UBX Boxing + Strength gym in Windsor. This venture marks his first foray into the fitness sector.

Explaining his decision to diversify and expand his business portfolio through a fitness franchise with UBX, Bal commented: “I’ve never been involved in the fitness industry from a commercial aspect before which is why I went down the franchise route – UBX was a new concept that really appealed to me.”

Bal collaborated with experienced UBX franchisee, Neil Rushby, to bring this state-of-the-art gym to Windsor. The gym is managed by club manager, Courtney, and supported by a team of skilled coaches.

Located in the iconic Windsor arches beneath an old railway bridge, UBX Windsor is the 7th UBX gym to launch in the UK & Ireland contributing to the global network of over 100 UBX gyms across 7 countries.

Describing how it feels to be part of this movement and to have opened his first UBX gym, Bal explained: “I’m absolutely elated! It’s taken a while to make everything come to fruition, but I can undoubtedly say that I’m so happy with everything and how it has turned out.

On choosing Windsor as the location for his new venture, Bal explained: “There is a strong demographic of people in the area who I felt would align with the UBX concept easily. People here really appreciate their health, well-being and actively make time for themselves. There’s a real sense of community here – something that I think is what makes a UBX club different.”

Bal highlighted what Windsor residents can expect from their newest boutique fitness facility: “UBX Windsor will remove all of the usual barriers that make people feel out of love or lose enthusiasm for their gym. If their work meeting overruns, it’s not a problem, just turn up on your own schedule because there are no class timetables to adhere to!

Don’t want to do the same workout or can’t think of a new routine? No problem – just turn up and we’ve already laid on a circuit for you which changes every day!

Not sure if you are doing the exercise correctly, or if you are pushing yourself enough? Don’t worry – our coaches are here to give you 1-on-1 support every workout and to guide you through the circuit!

I believe I’ve assembled a great team of managers and coaches, all of whom have boxed in the ring and will help you reach your goals – whatever you are fighting for!”

Bal’s journey demonstrates that previous experience in the fitness industry isn’t necessary to open your own UBX gym. If you’re interested in exploring this opportunity, click the ‘Contact this franchise’ button below.
