{"id":24020,"date":"2025-01-24T09:00:41","date_gmt":"2025-01-24T09:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=24020"},"modified":"2025-01-22T07:59:23","modified_gmt":"2025-01-22T07:59:23","slug":"dudley-dad-launches-domestic-appliance-repair-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/dudley-dad-launches-domestic-appliance-repair-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Dudley dad launches domestic appliance repair business"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p>A father-of-three from Dudley has launched his own business repairing domestic appliances, including washing machines and dishwashers, across the West Midlands, to meet a growing demand.<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell Barnbrook, looking to achieve a better work-life balance, has set up MB Repairs, a domestic appliance repair firm covering Dudley and surrounding areas, to help people save money and reduce their carbon footprint by extending the lifespan of their domestic appliances.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old has a background in engineering and most recently worked as a mechanical fitter.<\/p>\n<p>He will also partner with Pacifica Local, the UK\u2019s largest white goods repair business, to reach more customers in his area by utilising Pacifica\u2019s client network and using its industry leading technology platform.<\/p>\n<p>A combination of the cost-of-living crisis and people becoming more environmentally aware, as well as manufacturers now being required to make spare parts available for certain appliances to help extend the lifespan of their products, have all fuelled demand for domestic repair experts.<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell said: \u201cI am looking forward to this new venture as it means I am now doing a job I relish, as I\u2019ve always enjoyed the satisfaction of successfully repairing things.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have seen first-hand in my area, with the cost-of-living crisis biting, many people are opting to repair their appliances rather than replace them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoining Pacifica Local\u2019s network of engineers means I can assist more customers in my area to prolong the life of their appliances.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul Feek, Chief Commercial Officer at Pacifica, says: \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to see Mitchell\u2019s business flourish.
