Children undergoing treatment at Dorset County Hospital have been given a special festive treat thanks to a local Christmas decorating company.<\/p>\n

Christmas has arrived at the Dorchester hospital after a Dorset firm donated a beautifully-decorated tree to the Kingfisher children\u2019s ward.<\/p>\n

Dewlish-based luxury festive decorating firm The Christmas Decorators wanted to ‘create joy’ for children going through difficult times.<\/p>\n

The stunning tree was installed into the children’s ward’s winter wonderland display, bringing smiles to children, families, and staff alike.<\/p>\n

Known for their creative flair and passion for spreading holiday cheer, the company was delighted to give back to the community in such a meaningful way.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the company said: \u201cWe believe Christmas is a time for giving and creating joy, especially for those going through difficult times.<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing the children\u2019s faces light up when they see the tree is the best gift we could receive this season \u2013 our hearts are full.\u201d<\/p>\n

The donation was given to the hospital following the company\u2019s recent competition to win a Christmas tree, and the children\u2019s ward was chosen as the lucky recipient.<\/p>\n

The team hopes the tree will provide a touch of comfort and magic to families spending Christmas in the hospital.<\/p>\n

The tree has also been welcomed by staff at the children’s who have been blown away by the company’s generosity.<\/p>\n

Paul Myatt, lead registered health play specialist, at the Kingfisher ward at Dorset County Hospital, said: \u201cWe find it amazing how kind people are at Christmas, we couldn’t do Christmas in hospital without lovely, kind and generous people and families.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWe thank the Christmas decorators for this tree as it is sensational.
\n“The children and families spend a lot of time looking at Kingfishers display. The decorations, trees and lights bring so much joy to the ward.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company works with a number of good causes across the country including NHS Alder Hey Children’s Hospital & Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.<\/p>\n

They decorate the hospitals and bring joy to the children receiving treatment during the festive period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
