As a former student, it was a place filled with memories, but this time, he was back to inspire the next generation as a keynote speaker for the Year 8 Careers Fair.

What made it even more surreal was sharing the stage with Mr Santos, now a history teacher at the school, but also one of Billy’s closest friends and the best man at his wedding. Having spent years growing up together at Debden Park, neither of them would have imagined standing in front of students years later, side by side, to talk about their careers and the importance of sport, positivity, and hard work.

A Familiar Face in the Room

As Billy stood on stage, he quickly realised that many of the students in the audience already knew him. Having coached them years ago at primary school, he had been part of their early journey in sport, helping them develop skills, confidence, and a positive mindset. Now, those same students were sitting in front of him, thinking about their futures.

This is the kind of impact that sport can have. A coach isn’t just someone who teaches a skill—they can be a role model, a source of encouragement, and someone who helps children believe in themselves.

The Impact of Our Franchise Network

Billy’s experience isn’t unique to HQ. Across the Super Star Sport network, our franchise directors and their teams are making the same kind of impact in schools, nurseries, and sports camps every day.

Many of our franchisees experience moments like Billy’s—meeting children and parents years later who still remember their sessions and talk about the difference it made. Our franchisees aren’t just running a business, they’re shaping futures in their local communities.

Why Positivity and Sport Go Hand in Hand

One of our core values at Super Star Sport is positivity. We believe that when children are encouraged to think positively, dream big, and embrace challenges, they build the mindset needed to achieve their goals—not just in sport, but in life.

Sport plays a huge role in that. Exercise doesn’t just keep children fit—it has a proven impact on mental wellbeing. Being active releases endorphins and serotonin, helping children feel more positive, motivated, and confident. By getting involved in sport at a young age, children create a lifelong link between exercise, happiness, and self-belief.

This is why we do what we do. Through our franchise network, we want to give as many children as possible the opportunity to experience the benefits of sport—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Becoming a Super Star Sport Franchisee

If you’re passionate about sport, working with children, and making a difference in your local community, running a Super Star Sport franchise could be the perfect opportunity.

Build a business that genuinely impacts young lives

Work with schools, nurseries, and local organisations

Inspire children to be active, confident, and resilient

Join a supportive network with a shared mission

Billy’s experience at Debden Park is just one example of the difference our franchisees make.
