The Website Design Partnership founder, David Fairman, is an Academy Member of Bafta and today he would like to give you the latest BAFTA news. This will be the first of a series of news items about BAFTA and the film and television industries in the UK.<\/p>\n

Scottish actor Ewan McGregor will receive the Bafta Scotland award for outstanding contribution to film and television at the upcoming ceremony in Glasgow, on November 16.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perthshire-born McGregor\u2019s acting credits span Brassed Off, Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge!<\/em> and the Star Wars<\/em> prequel trilogy. He made his directorial debut in 2016 with American Pastoral, based on the novel of the same name.<\/p>\n

TV roles include Netflix\u2019s Halston, FX\u2019s Fargo, A Gentleman In Moscow for Paramount+<\/em> and Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.<\/em><\/p>\n

He has previously won Bafta Scotland awards for his roles in 1996\u2019s Trainspotting<\/em> and 2003\u2019s Young Adam<\/em>.<\/p>\n

BAFTA is also thrilled to announce that BAFTA Games in Concert will be hitting the road in 2026, taking in various cities around the UK as well as international dates, all to be confirmed on the official website soon.<\/p>\n
