After graduating from university with a degree in French, he spent 17 years working as a trading analyst in the sports betting industry. With a long standing ambition to run his own business, Joe later became a franchise owner in the health sector and now operates two Hair Loss Clinics, which he continues alongside his work with Jam Coding.<\/p>\n<p>Joe lives in Shrewsbury with his wife and two young sons, aged five and sixteen months. It was his experience as a parent that first led him to Jam Coding.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy eldest son has always loved maths and problem solving,\u201d Joe explains. \u201cWhen I started looking for something to support his learning and challenge him further, I was surprised to find there was nothing suitable available locally. When I discovered Jam Coding, I realised there were no coding clubs or sessions in Shropshire, and that felt like a real missed opportunity.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"why-jam-coding\"><\/span><b>Why Jam Coding<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Jam Coding quickly stood out for Joe as the right organisation to partner with.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI chose Jam Coding because everyone I spoke to was incredibly passionate and positive about what they do,\u201d<\/em> Joe says.<em> \u201cThat ethos runs through the whole organisation. It\u2019s clear that Jam Coding genuinely cares about children, education and making a real impact.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Joe is particularly excited about the difference Jam Coding Shropshire can make in the local community.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019m extremely excited to bring this opportunity to Shropshire,\u201d<\/em> he says. <em>\u201cJam Coding has the power to change lives by setting children up for a digital future and helping them develop skills that extend beyond computing into every area of their lives.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"learning-beyond-coding\"><\/span><b>Learning Beyond Coding<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Through Jam Coding Shropshire, children benefit from far more than learning how to code. Sessions are designed to develop a broad range of transferable skills that support children both in and out of the classroom.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cCoding teaches children how to work together as a team, how to think creatively and how to express themselves in their own unique way,\u201d<\/em> Joe explains.<em> \u201cThey also learn how to try new skills, overcome challenges and realise they are capable of far more than they might expect.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"teaching-the-future-in-shropshire\"><\/span><b>Teaching the Future in Shropshire<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Since 2014, Jam Coding has been delivering essential digital and life skills to the next generation of digital citizens.
