{"id":4143,"date":"2020-02-05T17:40:04","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T17:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=4143"},"modified":"2020-02-05T15:32:13","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T15:32:13","slug":"ovenu-shortlisted-in-amazon-scale-up-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/ovenu-shortlisted-in-amazon-scale-up-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Ovenu shortlisted in Amazon Scale-Up Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><h3>Oven valeting franchise Ovenu is celebrating after being named as a finalist in this year&#8217;s prestigious Amazon Scale-Up Awards.<\/h3>\n<p>It is shortlisted in the Franchise Business Award category which recognises outstanding franchises that have dominated their sector, demonstrated a passion and commitment for ethical franchising and created successful strategies and a clear plan for future growth.<\/p>\n<p>Launched in 2012 to showcase outstanding businesses and entrepreneurship, the Amazon Scale-Up Awards are organised by Business Leader Magazine.<\/p>\n<p>The judging panel includes Irene Graham, CEO of the ScaleUp Institute, former Dragon&#8217;s Den star Piers Linney, Poundland founder Steve Smith and market commentator and co-founder of a new regional investment exchange, Justin Urquhart Stewart.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced at a gala dinner, attended by 700 guests and hosted by comedian Tom Allen, at London&#8217;s Hilton Hotel on 20 March.<\/p>\n<p>Ovenu &#8211; which last year celebrated its 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0anniversary &#8211; has grown to become the market leader in domestic oven cleaning, operating 100 franchises across the UK and more than 30 in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>It was founded by owner and managing director Rik Hellewell, who designed the premium quality dip tank used to clean oven parts and developed its unique range of biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cIt&#8217;s a real privilege to be shortlisted in the Amazon Scale-Up Awards and reflects well on the success of the business as well as the dedication of all our Ovenu franchisees who deliver such a quality service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s gratifying to know that over the years Ovenu has provided the opportunity for hundreds of people to run their own businesses &#8211; safe in the knowledge they have the full support of a tried and trusted brand.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oven valeting franchise Ovenu is celebrating after being named as a finalist in this year&#8217;s prestigious Amazon Scale-Up Awards.
