{"id":5985,"date":"2020-06-03T13:36:16","date_gmt":"2020-06-03T12:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/?p=5985"},"modified":"2020-07-20T13:42:57","modified_gmt":"2020-07-20T12:42:57","slug":"lingotot-launches-socially-distanced-forest-school-programme-to-provide-children-with-foreign-language-classes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.franchiselocal.co.uk\/news\/lingotot-launches-socially-distanced-forest-school-programme-to-provide-children-with-foreign-language-classes\/","title":{"rendered":"Lingotot launches socially distanced Forest School programme to provide children with foreign language classes"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><h3>Children across the UK and beyond will soon have the opportunity to learn a new language in a fun, interactive Forest School<\/h3>\n<p>The franchise business, which has been running since 2010, has grown from offering French lessons to children in the North-East of England to a multinational operation, providing the option of eight different languages, including Spanish, Mandarin and Italian.<\/p>\n<p>Lingotot has continued to support children with interactive, engaging and child-centred online classes throughout lockdown and, with small groups now able to meet outside, can now expand its offering with Forest Schools.<\/p>\n<p>As of this summer, children aged 0-12 will be able to join in the fun of learning a new language through songs, stories and play, in a range of natural settings, such as forests, woodland, school fields and parks, compliant with the government\u2019s social distancing measures.<\/p>\n<p>Lingotot\u2019s founder and CEO, Angela Sterling, said: &#8220;We really miss our children all across the country! It&#8217;s great seeing them in online classes but it&#8217;s not quite the same as hearing them giggle and respond to a new language in real life. The programme will bring some much-needed education and a blast of fun into children&#8217;s lives!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The extra-curricular clubs are perfect for parents, as well as schools, nurseries and community settings, allowing children to engage in a foreign language from a young age, developing vital skills in a relaxed, natural environment. Lingotot classes can even be used as MFL PPA cover in schools.<\/p>\n<p>With families having been apart throughout lockdown and foreign travel uncertain for this summer, parents, grandparents and carers are also encouraged to attend to share the experience with their children.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Canavan, Lingotot Bexley Franchisee, said: &#8220;I am over the moon that Lingotot HQ has created something we can teach outdoors. I know our parents and children miss our physical classes so much and this is something we can do whilst being socially distant once small groups are allowed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ellie Norris, Mum to Esm\u00e9 aged 3, added: &#8220;Thank you Lingotot for continuing to safely provide classes.
