Whilst our franchise opportunity doesn\u2019t require new owners to have any prior experience or qualifications in finance, Alan had thirty-four years\u2019 experience, and for this reason chose to invest in something that he was comfortable with and went on to explain that;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cThere are no other businesses out there like Rosemary Bookkeeping. They leave accountants to do what they need to do.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alan spent a little over a\u00a0<strong>month\u00a0<\/strong>completing his\u00a0<strong>due diligence<\/strong>, before making the decision to join our franchise and secure a place on our September training academy.<\/p>\n<p>It was no surprise that our training academy would be a little different for Alan because of the necessity to social distance due to\u00a0<strong>Covid-19<\/strong>. In an effort to keep Alan and our team as\u00a0<strong>safe\u00a0<\/strong>as possible, as a business first, we opted to hold the whole academy virtually, so that all parties could attend the academy from the safety and comfort of their own homes.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>academy\u00a0<\/strong>was held over\u00a0<strong>five\u00a0<\/strong>days via our Microsoft Teams software which allowed for all members of the team to hold engaging\u00a0<strong>workshops\u00a0<\/strong>with Alan on all of the\u00a0<strong>business disciplines\u00a0<\/strong>required to operate his new venture.<\/p>\n<p>Alan decided to go in to his new venture to give him more\u00a0<strong>flexibility\u00a0<\/strong>to spend time with his family, in particular his treasured Grandson. Rosemary Bookkeeping provides a flexible\u00a0<strong>lifestyle\u00a0<\/strong>because the business can be operated from anywhere, anytime of the day- or night for that matter! Alan will be able to fit in his business around his family.<\/p>\n<p>His plans aren\u2019t for a steady career though, Alan hopes to\u00a0<strong>scale\u00a0<\/strong>up his business over the coming years in to a\u00a0<strong>multi-territory\u00a0<\/strong>operation.
