With SMEs accounting for around 99% of the UK\u2019s business population, being listed as one of 1,000 companies inspiring Britain, is a huge achievement. For InXpress UK, it\u2019s also a powerful indication of the important role our franchisees play in our national success.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is estimated there are somewhere between 5 and 6 million small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the UK. According to the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), SME\u2019s \u201caccount for around 60% of employment and over 50% of turnover in the UK private sector\u201d and are the \u201cbackbone of the UK economy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Which is why the LSEG annually looks for the most inspirational companies in the UK, so together, we can celebrate their growth and champion the impact they are having. The 2020 list of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain feels even more important, given the current challenge SMEs are facing.
