PGH Beegone Franchising Limited, the unique pest control and live bee removal franchise, is off to an impressive start by recruiting its first franchisee within six weeks of launching. David Hasler, of Ely, Cambridgeshire, did a soft launch of PGH Beegone Bury St Edmunds on 26th<\/sup> April and has just completed his first independent job.<\/p>\n

New to the franchise market on 27th<\/sup> December last year, PGH Beegone is a business concept like no other due to the fact that it incorporates two established brands \u2013 one of which is an industry that has never been franchised in the UK before. The core business brands, PGH Pest Control & Prevention and Beegone Live Bee Removal were started 14 years ago with help from the Prince\u2019s Trust which was founded by HRH The Queen and is overseen by President, HRH The Prince of Wales.<\/p>\n

Bee preservation has been a hot topic in the media of late and the environmental focus of this franchise opportunity, which saves honeybees and rehomes them, has generated a vast amount of interest from people from all walks of life.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I even joined, franchise owner Peter Higgs specifically arranged for me to shadow him at two live bee removal surveys, instead of sending his surveyor, so he could show me how it worked. I also attended an actual live bee removal job which came up in my area just before I enquired about the franchise, for which Peter gave me a discount on my franchise fees.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn my third week of franchise training my first independent lead come through which the Support Centre handled for me \u2013 from explaining the process to the client to booking it in on our database. When I visited the site, the customer was so impressed by our approach that he cancelled the other company that was due out to quote a few days later. Peter said during my training that professionalism and speed is the key \u2013 winning this contract definitely demonstrated that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis first job trading as PGH Beegone Bury St Edmunds was a three stage rodent treatment, rodent proofing (to stop rodents coming back in), clearance of contaminated loft insulation which is a health hazard to the owners and other contractors, and re-insulation of the loft – all for the same client in Aldham. I\u2019ve got a few more leads to follow up as well, just had one come through for live bee removal at a university in Cambridge.\u201d<\/p>\n
