CHALLENGES
The staff was not operating within an acceptable range, revenue growth had stalled, and the owner was very frustrated with working an outside job in addition to running his business.
SOLUTIONS
We first worked on getting the staff to believe in the company and the owner. The owner was not communicating effectively and was displaying very poor leadership skills. While delivering coaching to the owner on how to communicate effectively, we also worked on engaging the staff in building the company’s Vision, Mission, Purpose, and Values. The next item was to raise revenue and manage costs so the owner could quit the second job and just run the company. We are now focused on building the company’s MPPT (Model/Methodology, Process, People, and Technology) solution that drives the business. All this while continuing to develop the owner’s leadership skills.
RESULTS
So far in our 5-year coaching relationship, annual revenue has increased from $900K to $5M. The metrics for employee turnover, employee engagement, employee retention, and customer retention, have all improved dramatically. And the cherry on top… for five years in a row the company has been in the Philadelphia Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies list (no other company in Philadelphia top 100 has ever been on this list for five consecutive years).
