How to Capture The Power of a Brand

The need to stand out in a crowded market in today’s overwhelming world where we are constantly bombarded with multi-media messages, requires a sophisticated approach to marketing and branding.

For Principals that are part of a franchise with years of experience in the theatre school industry, the tools they are provided with and the on-going training, allows them to be one step ahead of their competitors. Razzamataz Theatre Schools has just hosted their northern and southern regional meetings to give franchisees the chance to continue to offer the best experiences for their customers and to grow their own businesses.

Razzamataz has developed a thorough understanding of the problems the industry faces and has developed a number of strategies in which to best tackle them to utilise all of today’s technologies and innovations. Much of this is underpinned by the network’s powerful brand that is able to reach out to high-profile figures from every area of the theatre school industry.

Southern regional meeting“The collective power of all of our schools gives us the opportunity to join together as one powerful voice to talk about the most pressing issues such as child inclusion, building confidence and life skills,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “This was the message that we presented at our two regional meetings and it was embraced by our northern and southern franchisees.”

The regional meetings were hosted by Suzie McCafferty, a franchise specialist who has been working with Razzamataz for more than ten years. Suzie has won multiple awards and excels in motivational speaking for business growth, which enabled her to explain Razzamataz’s new Growth Hubs to encourage Principals to take their schools to the next level.

As Razzamataz prepares to celebrate 20 years in business, the Dragons’ Den backed theatre school is launching a number of new projects and incentives including Team Celebration Days. “The success of every Razzamataz school is down to a number of factors,” explains Denise. “The Principals must lead the way; but we don’t forget the teams of teachers and staff who make the sessions amazing for the children. We have a number of annual awards already highlighting the teachers and felt this was the right time to introduce a further focus on the teachers.”

3 Brand PowerNetworking and learning from other Principals is always a highlight for the sessions and this time they were led with topics on ‘How to make your teams amazing,’ ‘Providing amazing customer service’ and ‘How to become amazing in your community’ – all based on next year’s Conference theme: 20 Years of Being Amazing. Matthew Aitchison, Principal Razzamataz West Cumbria says: “I had a brilliant day and have come away with lots of things to think about. Certainly very interested in the Growth Hubs and I can’t wait for the Team Celebration days, these sound like an amazing opportunity to further involve our teams in the wider Razz community.”

The Principals are currently preparing their students for a large scale performance at Her Majesty’s theatre in London’s West End. They are then looking towards a magical performance opportunity at Disneyland® Paris and during the Regionals, Principals who attended in 2017 were able to share best practice. “I just wanted to say thank you for another great regional session, I came away with many tips and ideas,” says Eve Aston, Principal of Razzamataz Tonbridge. Also looking forward to implementing some new ideas is Jude Hill, joint Principal of Razzamataz Leeds: “Thank you to all involved in today’s proceedings. I have come away with some new things to try.”

As part of Razzamataz’s commitment to its franchisees, it regularly asks for feedback to assess how to best support its Principals. Comments about the content included: thought provoking, excellent and very varied, engaging and well thought out, good opportunities to share ideas and inspiring.

With the 20 year celebration Conference just a few months away, the focus is now on providing an exceptional event in London, which includes a huge surprise for Principals. For anyone looking to join the award-winning network, now is a great time to join with a number of financial incentives to mark this significant birthday. Selected potential franchisees will also be invited to attend the annual Conference held on 20 January 2020 at Millbank, London. This is a chance to meet Founder and MD Denise, the Head Office team and other Principals to find out more about running a theatre school.
