Auditel kicked off 2022 with a very busy month.  With great client receptiveness to Auditel’s carbon solutions alongside procurement improvement services, this has led to record-breaking appointment numbers with potential new clients.  In addition, Auditel welcome three new franchise partners into the franchise network, and they kicked off their training on 24th January.

Based near Portsmouth, David Wilshin explored Auditel in late 2021 and decided to leave the corporate world to start his own business.   He explains “I have been in employment roles in business development in the automotive insurance sector for most of my career, and I had reached the point where I wanted to have more control and flexibility in my life.  I’ve worked hard, but ultimately the greatest reward for my efforts goes to my employer.”

He continues “When I started exploring franchising, and came across Auditel, it just made sense and felt the right fit for me.  Helping organisations to achieve best value across their spending is something in which there will always be opportunities, but it was the ability to deliver carbon solutions that really stood out for me.  I was so impressed by everything I saw and everyone I spoke to, and now I’m just buzzing about completing my training.  I’ve already had my first prospective client meeting on which I was supported by one of the experienced Auditel leadership team, in my very first week after the initial block of training!

David is joined on the induction programme by Yorkshire-based Michael Hogarth.  Michael has had a great deal of experience in mechanical engineering in the oil and gas sector, and having spent some of his career in Norway.

He explains “I didn’t want to go back into the employment world again.  I’d had some experience in self-employment earlier in my career and wanted to be able to build a business of my own again.  The Auditel model fits well with my skills and interests, and I love that I can ‘joint-venture’ projects and activities with other franchisees so that I can focus on the areas of the business that I feel best suited to, and link up with other franchisees who can compliment me.  It’s a great model.”

John Gerard, from Newbury on the Hants/Berks border is the third new Auditel ‘Affiliate’.  After a successful career in leadership roles in the IT/Communications/Technology sector, John was also drawn to Auditel by the scale of opportunity to deliver solutions and make a difference to clients.

John outlines why the client offering is so strong “It’s very exciting. We can provide clients with a full carbon management plan, starting with the carbon footprint report, and going right through the subsequent reduction and offset process to achieve 3rd-party validated carbon neutrality.  What really then makes the Auditel approach unique and what I believe will be a clincher with clients is that we can deliver carbon solutions that can be funded through the savings we are making for them across other areas of their business through all aspects of procurement and cost management.  It’s a win-win scenario and I can’t wait to start engaging with businesses and developing my own client base.”

Nick Tubb, Head of Partner Recruitment, comments “I’m delighted to welcome John, Michael and David to the Auditel community.  They each have varying skills and knowledge but most importantly the drive and desire to develop their own business, with our support.  I’m very excited for them, as they are themselves.  Now is such a good time to be joining Auditel, receptiveness for our services is extremely high and the market opportunity is enormous and will be for years to come.”

He adds “It’s hugely exciting that our carbon solutions are having such an impact.  This has been years in development and is only possible due to the amazing expertise and knowledge of some members of our franchise network, coupled with the passion and enthusiasm of the Auditel team.  Energy management and sustainability projects have been running for many years in Auditel so this is not new to us, but incorporating carbon as a core service alongside procurement services is a unique advantage to Auditel that benefits our clients and our franchise partners. Proof of this is David already having had his first meeting on which he was fully supported, and he hasn’t even finished training yet!”
