A Camberley-based oven valeter is celebrating a successful 10 years in business.
Paul Hellewell, owner of Ovenu Camberley, is to mark the milestone by expanding his business with the potential addition of a sub-contractor over the next 12 months.
Mr Hellewell, who previously worked in retail, realised an ambition to become his own boss when he joined Ovenu in 2008 – at the beginning of the recession.
Since then, Ovenu Camberley has completed more than 6,000 oven valets, averaging more than 12 appointments each week.
Paul said: “I have enjoyed a fantastic 10 years in business, despite taking the plunge into self-employment at the beginning of the financial crisis. Despite a difficult economic climate to begin with, I have managed to build Ovenu Camberley into a stable, small business, with a host of loyal customers.
“I am now looking to build on this period of positivity by embarking on my first-ever recruitment drive in the near future to support our increased demand, which will help drive growth.
“I’d like to thank each and every one of my customers, who have been part of my Ovenu journey over the last decade, and I am extremely grateful for their support. Hopefully I will be celebrating further milestones in the future!”
Ovenu Camberley serves homes and businesses throughout the Camberley area, including Bagshot, Frimley and Lightwater.
Ovenu is a franchise network made up of more than 100 businesses owned by men and women working throughout the UK.
