New franchisee interview: Rob Walton

Reading Time: 2 minutes

What first attracted you to the it’seeze franchise?

It’seeze puts the customer first. We all know customers are the most important thing in business but so many organisations still don’t seem to have grasped the nettle on that one. Price transparency, an ongoing ‘genuine’ support network, an incredible open resource hub to support a fantastic content management system and obviously outstanding websites in both looks and performance.

For someone who’s been in marketing for more than 20 years the it’seeze franchise has been a breath of fresh air.

How did you get in touch / learn more?

I researched thoroughly, looking closely at competitor offers and how the business opportunity would work in my area and then made a call to Alex, it’seeze Franchise Manager. Alex was very patient and answered my questions (I had many) clearly and concisely both over the phone and in email correspondence. Once I decided I wanted to know more, I booked in for a discovery day which included a series of presentations about it’seeze and how the franchise worked. Alex also arranged for me to speak to three franchisees who were very open and honest.

What was the training like?

The training was thorough. During the five-day induction week, we covered all aspects of what it takes to run a successful it’seeze franchise. This included sessions on how to manage the website editor, admin systems and website analysis tools. We also had thorough training in marketing and sales from industry professionals.

What are you looking forward to, now that you own an it’seeze franchise?

I’m looking forward to offering a high value website solution service to organisations in Sheffield. I think businesses owners will really appreciate the openness and support offered by the it’seeze model. From a personal point of view, I’m looking forward to having the support of a fabulous team at head office and working with a highly motivated and experienced team as we grow the it’seeze brand across the UK and beyond.

What advice would you give to any potential franchisee out there?

Probably the best advice I could give to anyone thinking about taking up the opportunity of a franchise would be to research thoroughly. Don’t be afraid to ask questions no matter how many you might have. And finally, make good preparation. The better you’re planning, the sooner you’re likely to see success.
