Right at Home are committed to offering exceptional standard of home care services, and to going above and beyond care industry expectations.

So when franchisee Ben Selby, Managing Director of Right at Home South Cheshire, was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ rating in a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the network responded with huge pride in his achievement. Ben’s company has joined an exclusive club of homecare organisations to receive an Outstanding Rating from the CQC, highlighting the high-quality, trusted homecare that his team delivers.

Only 2% of homecare providers inspected have ever achieved an Outstanding CQC rating, with an even smaller percentage doing so in their first full inspection. Right at Home South Cheshire, which has been trading less than two years, is only the second organisation in the county to receive this elusive accolade.

Within the inspection, which took place on 21st February, Clients and their relatives told the CQC that services provided by Right at Home South Cheshire, were of a consistently high standard. Comments included: “Right at Home is an exemplary care company. We need more like them.” “It’s more like having friends,” and: “They’ve been absolutely fabulous. They’ve got a higher calibre of carers.”

Right at Home provides personal care and support to people in their own homes, with services ranging from companionship, home help and personal care to specialist dementia care and live-in care services.

The network of 52 locally-owned and managed franchises is already the most highly rated national homecare agency on the independent review website homecare.co.uk, with an overall 9.7/10 rating from over 700 ratings. Franchisees share a collective compassion for their Clients, addressing their needs as they would those of their own family members.

Business owner Ben said: “I am delighted with the results of our CQC inspection and would like to personally thank our team of dedicated CareGivers for their commitment in our constant pursuit of excellence.

“Over the last two years we have built fantastic relationships with our Clients and importantly their families, allowing us to deliver the best homecare service possible. We have also developed excellent relationships in our local community to improve the outlook for more vulnerable members of the public, including creating 263 dementia friends, supported by the Alzheimer’s Society. We look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding care and support to the people of South Cheshire for many years to come.”

Debbie Westhead, Deputy Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care in the North, said, “Right at Home South Cheshire, since its inception in December 2016, has performed exceedingly well. It is very clear they had established effective working relationships with other professionals including GPs, district nurses and occupational therapists. The professionals we contacted told us the service was well managed and maintained high standards of care and professionalism.

“People received their care from staff who were well-trained and supported. Inspectors were extremely complimentary in respect of the outstanding care they delivered, saying they were kind, caring and compassionate. Each person we spoke with was very positive about their relationship with their CareGivers and the manner in which they were treated.”

Ken Deary, Right at Home UK Managing Director added, “All of the team at Right at Home UK would like to pass on our sincere congratulations to Ben and the team in South Cheshire. We are delighted that their Outstanding efforts have been recognised by CQC.”
