Final rehearsals are taking place up and down the country as 400 students prepare to take to the stage at one of London’s most iconic venues. It has hosted everything from the NME Awards to the legendary X Factor boot camp sessions and the British Comedy Awards.

The indigo at The 02 has a capacity of 2,800 and has many world-class musicians, comedians and performers grace its stages. On Sunday 18th November, 16 schools within the Razzamataz Theatre Schools network will make their own debut on its stage.

“For many seasoned professionals, performing at The 02 will be the pinnacle of their career, so the opportunity to be able to offer this for children and teenagers is incredible,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “For the students, their families, our Principals and their staff, this will be a day that stays with them for the rest of their lives. Making memories and giving our students the opportunity to reach their potential is at the core of what we believe at Razzamataz.”

The schools, that will be performing a variety of numbers from the worlds of musical theatre and commercial pieces and everything in between from Meatloaf to Beyonce are,: Razzamataz Mansfield, Razzamataz Newbury, Razzamataz Barnet, Razzamataz York, Razzamataz Durham, Razzamataz Paisley, Razzamataz Maidstone, Razzamataz Medway, Razzamataz Sheffield, Razzamataz Rickmansworth, Razzamataz Sutton, Razzamataz Edinburgh, Razzamataz Weymouth, Razzamataz Newcastle, Razzamataz Derby and Razzamataz Carlisle.

The BBC Dragons’ Den backed theatre school franchise regularly enjoys partnering up with household names to create exciting opportunities for both the students and the theatre school owners. In the past, students have performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End as well as Disneyland Paris. This summer, Razzamataz collaborated with Warner Bros. Pictures’ new release Teen Titans GO! to the Movies to celebrate this exciting feel-good summer release.

“The high-profile positioning of our brand has led to many exciting opportunities and this is something that we are very proud of and continue to grow,” adds Denise. “At a local level, these partnerships really help our schools to stand out from the crowd and means that people without a performing arts background can still join our network and take advantage of all the industry contacts that we have.”

To give more people the opportunity of joining the network, until the end of 2018, there will be no up-front franchise fee of £7,995 plus VAT to pay. All that will be required is the £4,000 initial marketing launch and £5,000 working capital as opposed to circa £20,000 that would have included the franchise fee. Candidates who choose not to pay the upfront franchise fee will pay 20% MMF instead of 10% over three years or nine terms.

With almost 50 schools up and down the country, now is an exciting time to become part of the network, which includes an award-winning franchisee. Known as the biggest and most influential event in the franchising world, Razzamataz was delighted to be among the winners at the British Franchise Association (bfa) Awards 2018.

To find out if franchising is the right option, Razzamataz holds regular Discovery Den days across the UK where potential franchisees get a chance to meet the Head Office team, find out more about franchising in general and discover what it is like to run a part-time theatre school.

There are currently opportunities to take over existing schools in both Hackney and Reading. If you would like to find out more about becoming part of our team and attending a Discovery Den, click the link below to find out more.
