Chris Dancey, former Para Trooper, has had a flying start in Yorkshire with his pet taxi service.
Chris 52 is used to helping others in his career in the military, being the one to take charge of situations and stay calm.
Since joining Pets 2 Places Ltd, Chris has been no stranger to this with his pet taxi service dealing with his fair share of emergencies. From collapsed dogs to glass stuck in paws and everything in between
Chris has been a godsend to his customers, even taking the time with one gentleman who lost his dog to bury him in the back garden with a ‘proper send-off’. Not content with just digging a hole for the elderly gentleman, Chris even suggested wrapping the dog to protect him from the dirt and laying flowers on the newly created grave.
It’s no wonder that Chris has found himself in the final of the Animal Star Awards, for Best Pet Service 2024. The Animal Star Awards was founded by Mary Burgess in 2016 giving recognition for the extraordinary things pets and owners do for each other.

Chris responded to us within minutes and delivered a 10/10 service from start to finish and even transported our 2 pocket bullies alone ( if you know anything about the bully breed you will know that’s some challenge alone due to the strength and size of the breed ) it just didn’t phase him at all.
We also wanted to get our boys home early from the boarding kennels so we contacted Chris at 3 pm and the boys were back home with us by 4 pm the same day.
