One thing is worth bearing in mind as you look: the map isn’t static.
Territories become available, people make their move, and the picture changes. Territories are being taken all the time, so the map will naturally change as people make their move. An area showing as available today may not still be available when you come back to it.
So, if you see an area that looks right for you, it’s worth taking a closer look rather than assuming it’ll still be there when you return to it.
However, bear in mind that if your area isn’t available today, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s off the table for good.
