Most of us would happily spend less time commuting. For one Optic-Kleer franchise owner, that’s about to become a reality.
You may remember Kev Brown, whose story was posted here earlier this year. Kev joined Optic-Kleer in August 2025 after being made redundant at 65, and he admitted that income was his biggest worry before he started. That worry didn’t last long.
“I was most worried about income. I just couldn’t get my head round how I was going to make a decent living doing this… that first day sitting in a car park wondering if anyone would turn up was daunting, but then I had 47 customers in my first week!”

However, he’ll now be leaving that territory behind for a fresh one, because he wants to work closer to home. He currently drives around 40 miles just to reach the nearest edge of his territory, crossing other areas to get there. A much closer neighbouring territory covering Spalding and Peterborough has become available, so Kev has leapt at the chance to reduce that travel distance to just six or seven miles for many of his sites.

Kev’s move means that his old territory is now available.
