On the back of a year of strong growth and inward investment, Apollo Blinds has announced it is looking to expand its franchise network by 20 per cent this year.

The business, which is ranked as one of the UK’s Top 100 Franchises by Elite Franchise, is the biggest franchise network specialising in blinds, shutters and awning sales in the UK. With aims to fill vacant territories in Belfast, Durham, York, and Salisbury within the next six months, this will be complemented with a further five territories – taking its total to 60 territories across the UK by the start of 2021.

Since its inception in 1972, Apollo Blinds has enjoyed continued success in the UK interiors market. As part of the Hunter Douglas Group, Apollo offers the largest collection of blinds, shutters and awnings in the UK, and this is part of the reason for its growing revenues. Their premium, made-to-measure window coverings are renowned for their on-trend designs and high-quality finishes via their bespoke, in-home service model, generating high-level customer demand with both residential and commercial clients.

With strong demand for its product range and bespoke in-home service in a market worth an estimated £1.3billion, the business is gearing up for significant growth.

Matt Thomas, Business Development Director from Apollo Blinds, comments: “Apollo Blinds has invested significantly into improving our digital infrastructure, training programmes and operational systems to provide our network with improved business support that facilitates the growing customer demand for our products and service.

“in 2019 we opened mobile showrooms in Wokingham, Sutton Coldfield, Newport and Bromley, taking our total number of franchisees to 37, and our ambition for 2020 is even greater. We are capitalising on the increasing demand for our offer, as customers seek us out to help them renovate and update their living spaces. With increasing competition in our industry, it’s not enough to just have the right products anymore – the customer experience is what matters, and our offer of convenience, professionalism and quality makes Apollo stand out from the rest.

“To drive the business forward, we are looking to partner with new franchisees to open more territories to help service this demand and join us in our success, to become part of the next stage of our growth.

“Our franchise model is like no other – it offers huge scope, offering ‘buy in’ to an established operations model, a familiar brand and a network of other like-minded individuals for support and guidance, not to mention untapped opportunity in a lucrative market – 30 per cent of our franchisees generate a turnover in excess of £250K a year.

“Apollo is a national brand, but a local business for our customers, and that personal touch, with professional advice supporting a huge product range, sets us apart.”
