The former owner of multiple businesses in South and Mid Wales is launching oven valeting service, Ovenu Telford South.
Andrew Bowcott has spent more than 20 years as his own boss with business interests that began with his own seafront ice cream kiosk, a local newsagent in Aberystwyth, and more recently operating a refrigerated transport company.
Andrew, who has thoroughly enjoyed his varied and successful business life, said: “Any successful entrepreneur knows that integrity, quality and a team ethos are the most important aspects of any business franchise, however now I have a family with a five-year-old son, it is time to come off the road and spend more time with the family.”
“I soon realised that the Ovenu franchise offers me everything I’m looking for in terms of being my own boss, having an enjoyable and varied work schedule and creating a healthy work life balance that’s under my control.”
Andrew, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday, is focused on building up a loyal customer base for Ovenu Telford South but has plans to grow the business and eventually operate extra vans and technicians.
Rik Hellewell, the founder and managing director of Ovenu, said: “Andrew is an experienced businessman with many transferable skills that I’m sure will make Ovenu Telford South a huge success.
“I wish to welcome him to the Ovenu network and look forward to working with him to support his future growth plans.”
Andrew, who was born in Worcester, but has lived in Wales for most of his life, moved to Telford two years ago.
He added: “This is a fantastic opportunity and allows me to build on the knowledge gained from running my own businesses and enjoying the support of the Ovenu network.
“As a former business to business owner, spending a lot of my time both on the road and in an office environment, I am looking forward to getting out and about and meeting people.”
Ovenu Telford South serves homes and businesses throughout the town, as well as the surrounding areas, including Barrow, Broseley, Buildwas, Coalmoor, Coalport, Dawley, Horsehay, Ironbridge, Jackfield, Lightmoor, Much Wenlock, Overdale, Oldpark, Stirchley, Sutton Hill, Weston Heath, Weston-under-Lizard and Willey.
The valeting process involves dismantling key components of an oven such as the door, interior panels, fan and shelves and placing them in a design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic products to clean oven parts. The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
