Creating your Dream profession from home

Reading Time: 2 minutes

When becoming apart of the Photography For Little People family you can run your business from home while benefiting from the support of a head office team and dedicated point of contact. The franchise package includes all equipment and ongoing training.

Other benefits include low start-up costs and overheads, a good work-life balance and the opportunity to fit the business around other commitments if necessary. While you don’t have to be a great photographer to be a successful franchisee, you will need desire, creativity and enjoy working with children of all ages.

Based in West Sussex, Rebecca Downie says she’s found her dream profession with a Photography for Little People franchise.

Rebecca adds: “After working for media companies for 15 years, I wanted a job I could be passionate about, use my business sales and marketing skills and work around my family.

“My passion for photography has always been there, but I got my first DSLR when I moved to Australia in 2009. Out there I undertook loads of different courses and fell in love with photography.

“A quick Google search led me to Photography for Little People. It seemed like a great company, which provided the right balance of training and support with the flexibility to do my own thing.”

Rebecca completed her initial training with Photography for Little People co-founder Melanie Armstrong in March 2017.

Melanie says: From the moment Rebecca walked through my studio doors I knew she would love being a part of Photography for little People. Her passion was clear to see and she felt so at ease with our families that were booked for training. I was very proud of the images she created during her training week.

Rebecca says: “The branding, website and marketing materials are all included, giving you a fantastic platform to build on. Added to which you have the support of all the other franchisees, who help when needed. And the best bit is I get to spend time with new babies and their families.”

Rebecca has been trading for close to a year now and has worked hard with her mentor to grow her business and follow the system.

Melanie adds: “Rebecca has produced some outstanding work over the last year and has achieved some fantastic sales. Her business is now in a position where her brand is recognised throughout her territory. She’s had a fantastic first year.”

Rebecca says: “The best bit about owning a Photography for Little People franchise is it has given me the flexibility to be at the school gates, which is so important to me.”
