On a cold December day, we received the picture of two pairs of jeans with this message “I’ve been meaning to share this… the result of 6.5 months of OE training! It’s worth the wet and cold….”.

We were sent this message from Anna who joined us as a member at One Element Tooting in May 2019 and has quickly become a central part of the group. It’s great to see the dedication and hard work at the sessions have paid off for Anna and an inspiration she’s provided to members & non-members alike.

We’ve taken the opportunity to catch up with Anna and asked her a few questions.
Check out Anna’s One Element experience as a member below and if it inspires you to get in touch with us for more information on how you can help and inspire others such as Anna as part of a personally and financially rewarding brand.

Before you joined One Element, what exercise did you do?

It has been pretty non-existent in the last few years! Just the walk to and from train stations on the way to work, about 50 mins a day at best. I was feeling pretty sluggish.

For those who have not been to one, how do you describe the One Element session?

Challenging but fun! They’re not easy – there’d be no point in that. But the trainers and the group are so friendly and getting stronger and running further/managing that extra press up every few weeks is so satisfying. We all have a laugh together no matter how wet and muddy we all are.

What have been the benefits of joining One Element?

I am feeling much stronger and fitter! Slimmer and more toned, but I didn’t realise what a great stress reliever it would be as well – no matter how tough a day I’ve had, running around in the fresh air always clears my mind.

Have you made any changes to your diet since joining One Element?

Not really, I’ve been following the principles of Slimming World for a long time now. Lots of home cooked food and a lot less junk and booze! By adding in One Element has made the difference I was looking for.

How do you like training outdoors?

Well, summer was nicer than winter! But actually, there’s a strange sense of wellbeing about doing sit ups in the mud in the dark. It certainly gives you bragging rights and is less sweaty than a gym. So yes, I do. Working in an office all day it’s so nice to get outside and have a run around.

How have you found outdoor and group training has affected your mental well-being?

It has definitely been a positive, it’s great stress relief, and I always feel very relaxed after a session no matter how exhausted I feel. I’ve never regretted going to a session.

Do you have any tips?

Just do it! I procrastinated for ages about joining, thinking everyone would be fitness machines and I’d be last at everything. Ultimately I didn’t want to join a gym and PTs were too expensive and this looked a lot friendlier than military style fitness! There are newbies at lots of sessions and everyone was new once, and you won’t be new for long. You can go at your own pace and everyone will cheer you on. I’ve made good friends at OE so there’s nothing to lose really!

Do you find One Element value for money?

Absolutely, considering the cost of either F45 or a personal trainer it’s exceptional. As long as you show up of course!

Would you recommend One Element?

I’ve already recommended you! One friend joined for a while but it was a little too far away. I have people ready to join if you start in Brockwell Park and Brook Green!
