We are finally re-opening our Spanish Office in the Old Town – Marbella post Covid this summer.
The Numbers.
According to statistics collected at the end of 2024 and the beginning of this year by Statista, the coastal regions of Andalucía along the Costa del Sol have the highest number of British expats, with 92,180 Brits making this sunny southern area their home in 2024.
Cultural Insights.
Spain prides itself on a rich diversity of culture that manifests in its passionate flamenco music, traditional fiestas, and diverse regional customs. Each region in Spain — from the fervor of Andalusia’s flamenco to the running of the bulls in Pamplona — upholds its distinct traditions. The laid-back Spanish lifestyle often includes a midday siesta, underscoring the value placed on work-life balance. The Spanish are known for their warm hospitality and emphasis on family and social connections.
The Simpler Life.
“The life of an expat in Spain is truly a special mix of European charm, a relaxed lifestyle, and relative affordability when compared to many of their home countries.
Be it the sunny Mediterranean beaches, the rich history, or the easy-going slow pace of life, Spain is an alluring country”.
Retirement in Spain.
Spain has emerged as a coveted retirement destination for expats due to its warm climate, affordable healthcare, and lower cost of living.
Those looking to retire in Spain should explore the Golden Visa program, which requires a significant investment in real estate and can lead to permanent residency.
How Do We Help In Spain.

Some quasi Trust relationships are, in any case, already recognised in Spain such as usufructos (the right to use an asset in one’s lifetime with the underlying asset being the property of a third party) or Testaferros (nomineeship). Codigo Civil Art 9.8 states that a foreign national can apply their law in relation to his / her private affairs:
We are looking forward to re-launching our little “Niche Market”, and yes, any member of the team who fancies a “Working Holiday”; All you need to do is ask and we will put you to work in the Mediterranean sunshine for a few weeks.
