The UK’s premier personal stylist and colour analysis experts, House of Colour, has announced the recruitment of 22 new franchisees in the last 12 months in the UK with plans to recruit another 25 in the next year, which they also hope to match in USA.

Established in 1985, House of Colour was bought from the original founders by a group of four ambitious stylists in 2008 who have spent the last 10 years successfully moving the business from the 1980s slightly dated perception of the image consultant, to one of modern, entrepreneurial colour and style consultants. In addition, they have put in place changes to their recruitment drive, with the intention to increase their UK franchisees from 90 to 200 in the next five years.

Helen Venables, Managing Director of House of Colour says: “Our strategy was to modernise and redefine what we do whilst always keeping at the heart of our business, our love of helping people become the very best version of themselves. Our new franchisees are generally ambitious but also with a clear desire for a good work/life balance and recognising this has given our recruitment drive another huge boost.

“One great success has been the creation of our discovery days where potential franchisees can join us to receive more information about the business and the intensive training that they would receive. We additionally have been really focusing on our marketing development.”

House of Colour franchisee Ellen Peters says: “I knew I wanted a job with autonomy, responsibility and the ability to make a difference to people. At the House of Colour Discovery Day, I knew for sure it was the right thing to do to work with a company that’s the best in its field. The advantage of being a franchisee is that I’m running my own business with the backing of an established framework. I only wish I’d made the move earlier!”

House of Colour offers attractive and lucrative franchise opportunities to business men and women nationwide. Franchises cost £8225+VAT and a monthly service fee of £100+VAT to purchase a designated exclusive region with a population of at least 90k people. The franchise has a flexible start-up programme which enables stylists to start in their home or have a small shop, work in a beauty salon, health club or in a large department store.

The potentially high-income business model also has several lucrative streams of income from colour analysis, styling, make up classes and over 250 make up products.

House of Colour’s comprehensive training programme and support services are designed to help franchisees quickly become experts in this growth market; backed by having a Provider of Training Excellence accreditation from the Professional Development Consortium. The stylists go through the most rigorous professional training in the industry including colour analysis, the language of clothes, the psychology of styling, dressing for the occasion, why image is still important, budgeting, capsule wardrobe, a fascinating personality assessment, the history of dressing and full marketing training to support successful launch and growth of a House of Colour business and much more.
