From Shrek moment to one of the top personal stylists in the country, Lynn Ainsley from Watford was invited to the recent House of Colour Wonders Conference to speak about and celebrate her achievements and successes.
Lynn had a ‘wow’ moment when she had her own colours analysed before she became a personal stylist. “I call it my ‘Shrek moment’. My consultant held up two greens against my skin; a warm moss green and a cool emerald green and I remember thinking the moss green made me look like Shrek – heavy faced and green around the gills! In the emerald green my skin and eyes looked fresh, bright and clear and I looked alert and glowing really. The emerald green has turned out to be one of my best colours, but the irony was I had actually come to the class wearing the moss green (my Shrek colour). I now talk about my Shrek moment when I host classes!”
Lynn was making and selling jewellery when a client suggested she talked to House of Colour about working with them and making jewellery in line with the seasons. “I went along to an introductory talk and it felt like I was coming home and suddenly colour all made sense. Not long after I became a colour and style consultant and now here I am ten years later being invited to the Wonders Conference!”

Lynn trains new consultants mainly covering the skin care and make up training as well as travelling and assessing consultants in their own studios for their Professional Excellence Certificates. In addition, she works in head office as part of the marketing team and often does internal and external presentations.
