Kare Plus immediately stood out to me as something special

Kare Plus, offering a strong platform for success since 1989.

The healthcare sector has seen a dramatic level of change in 2020 which has realigned the way in which care is both commissioned and delivered but also in the way that we engage with our customers. The direct result of this is workers are looking to diversify and this has, in turn, resulted in an increase in applicants looking to getting into care and therefore generating an increase in overall candidate availability for organisations’ such as Kare Plus.

We have also seen that care locations such as nursing and residential care homes have been increasingly reliant on flexible workers to fill block booked shifts, with a report completed by the Guardian showing absence rates caused by self-isolation by permanent staff were as high as 25% at the peak of outbreaks. Kare Plus at the commencement of the pandemic also saw a spike in this element of the business with a higher level of engagement from existing customers and the commencement of newly founded business relationships.

As Covid-19 progressed and there were pressures on care and nursing homes there was also an ongoing increase in the demand for homecare services with the ability to offer an enhanced level of diversified care, being of a strong benefit to care providers. A service Kare Plus is experienced and confident in delivering.

As the UK looks to take its first steps in the recovery from Covid-19, more and more people are looking to invest in a franchise that can provide them with not only results but also a form of security that can only be obtained from a sector that is resilient to the economic climate. Here at Kare Plus we are proud to have awarded franchise territories to eight individuals over the course of this year.

With the main impacts in homecare being as a result in loved ones being unable to care for their relatives/friends, further impacted by hospitals needing to discharge people sooner (other factors such as school closures and isolation) the support required from homecare providers like Kare Plus is only expected to soar.

Since the outbreak and throughout both lockdowns Kare Plus has continued to work with each franchise owner to provide support in the areas which are most important to their business. During this time, these needs have become very diverse and regionalised. To ensure that we can offer tailored support we are continually implementing and developing an effective strategy in response to the changing message from the central government.

One such franchisee was Debbie who joined the Kare Plus network in 2020 amidst the lockdown challenges. Here is what she had to say;

“Prior to joining Kare Plus I had been looking at franchising for some time. Of all of the offerings I came across, Kare Plus immediately stood out to me as something special.  Not only was it a strong match to the skills and experience I have built up over the past 20+ years within recruitment, I could see the opportunity it would give me to make a difference in my local community. In addition, the dual model presents an opportunity to build both depth and breadth to my business, focusing on workforce solutions as well as homecare services.

The knowledge demonstrated by Isabelle and her team was second to none, and since then everyone that I’ve met at Kare Plus approaches their work with the same passion, integrity, high level of expertise and determination to offer the best possible service. I am excited to be joining an industry where I can make a meaningful and real difference, with the support of Kare Plus, the caring company”.
