Nikki Priest, who has 15 years’ experience in the cleaning industry, has launched her own oven valeting business, Ovenu Dursley and Cotswolds South.
The mum-of-one, who previously worked as a manager for various national cleaning companies, has finally fulfilled a long-held ambition to become her own boss.
She takes over the successful franchise from previous owner Clive Wallace, following his recent retirement.
Nikki, of Wotton-under-Edge, near Stroud, said: “It is daunting to launch a business in the middle of a national lockdown, but I’m fortunate to have inherited Clive’s loyal client base and certainly intend to uphold his reputation for excellent service.
“I was previously an office-based regional operations manager for a major cleaning company, which involved working very long hours, and I yearned for a change of lifestyle. Ovenu has provided that opportunity and the ability to connect with people.”
She intends to establish herself in the role before growing the business to a point where she can employ subcontractors and operate extra vans.
She added: “My background in the cleaning industry and managerial experience means I’m highly organised and have an energetic can-do-attitude which puts the client first.”
In her spare time, she enjoys walking, cycling, and practising mixed martial arts.
Nikki is accepting bookings at her discretion, with the strict stipulation that both parties observe the two-metre social distancing rule, along with guidelines on hygiene and cleanliness.
Ovenu Dursley and Cotswolds South covers Chipping Sodbury, Yate, Wotton-under-Edge, Dursley, Berkeley, Stonehouse, Stroud, Tetbury, Malmesbury, Chippenham, Corsham and the surrounding areas.
