Having had a successful evening the night before, at the North-East Regional Awards Event, the team from Blossom Home Care Northallerton were looking forward to joining their colleagues from Tadcaster for the Yorkshire & Humberside Great British Care Awards Regional Final. The event took place at the National Railway Museum in York, where the recent winning streak continued with the team being awarded the Care Team award.

Presented to the team best able to demonstrate a shared vision and agreed goals, the team demonstrated that they were well led, had excellent communication processes and skills as well as a commitment to dignity and privacy for clients and respect for all team members.

“We are really proud to have won this award, and to be a finalist in so many other awards on the night including the Care Employer award, the Palliative Care award, the Registered Managers award (Kelli), the Social Care Nurse award (Fiona) and the Outstanding Contribution to Social Care (John)”, said Fiona. “The Northallerton and Tadcaster office teams had a lovely night and it’s fantastic for them to be recognised in this way. Once again, everyone involved would like to say a big thank you to everyone that supports Blossom Home Care, our hard-working managers, and carers and, most of all, those that use our service”.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Blossom Home Care was established to offer quality care to elderly clients, via a minimum 50-minute call tailored to their needs and preferences in their own home. Blossom Home Care now employs over 200 people across the group. The Northallerton and Tadcaster offices have been recognised at these awards previously and now boast a number of awards to their name, in recognition of the job they do so well.
