A former DIY store worker is now building something of his own with the launch of oven cleaning service Ovenu Louth.
Emilian Kryska, who has spent the past 11 years working as a customer assistant at the town’s B&Q, decided the time was right to fulfil a long-held ambition to become his own boss.
Married with two sons, the 50-year-old opted to invest in a franchise after identifying Ovenu as a proven, low-risk route into self-employment, supported by extensive training and ongoing guidance.
Emilian, who moved to England from Poland with his family in 2012 having previously worked in administration in an export company, said he is focused on building a strong reputation in the area.
“I’ve always dreamed of running my own business, and I know success will come down to hard work, attention to detail and providing great customer service. It’s a brand-new territory, so my priority is delivering a quality service and attracting a loyal client base.”
“The one thing on my side is that I’m 6ft 5,” he joked. “So at least my clients will remember me, and I’ll be head and shoulders above any competitors!”
Emilian, who lives in the market town, is ambitious about the future and hopes to grow the business and reach a point where he can take on an additional oven technician.
Ovenu Louth covers the LN11, LN12, LN13 and DN36 postcodes, including Louth, Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, East Lindsey, Alford, and surrounding areas.
Rik Hellewell, founder and managing director of the Ovenu franchise, added: “Emilian brings a strong work ethic, years of customer service experience and a real appetite to succeed. Setting up a business in a new area takes commitment and determination, and I have no doubt he has what it takes to build a thriving local business.”
The Ovenu process involves dismantling key oven components, such as doors, panels, fans and shelves, and cleaning them in design-registered tank equipment using safe, non-caustic and biodegradable products. The service leaves ovens in near showroom condition, and also covers hobs, extractor hoods, microwaves and range cookers.
