RISE as a Second Income & Taking Control of Your Destiny

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The pandemic has made many people reflect and re-evaluate life. High up on their agendas has been to rethink their physical activity levels and their general state of health. A clear link was established between obesity and worsening COVID outcomes. Fitness is much higher up the priority list than it was pre-2020.

One other area of acute focus is employment and the economic impact of COVID. The pandemic has changed the working landscape. For many it has meant losing their job and for others it has meant working from home. As the furlough support scheme tails off more redundancies are inevitable, and more change is certain for the UK workforce.

RISE is a fitness franchise that puts you in control of your own destiny and income

For some RISE is a full-time proposition and for others it is a part time job that supplements their primary income and acts as an “insurance” policy against redundancy.

RISE is a local neighbourhood concept, more home working means more people are now “local”, where they were once remote. RISE is ideally placed to deliver fitness, health, and wellbeing exactly where the post pandemic customer spends most time – at home.

Hybrid Working

Now restrictions are easing, we are not expecting to see an immediate return to the office. Much more likely is a hybrid style of working that sees workers visit the office once or twice per week, opting for the convenience of home working on the other days.

According to the McKinsey Global Institute:

“20 to 25 percent of the workforces in advanced economies could work from home between three and five days a week. This represents four to five times more remote work than before the pandemic and could prompt a large change in the geography of work.”

Why is now a good time for you to take control of your own earnings and destiny?

In the decade to follow the pandemic there is likely to be a dramatic change in employment. E-commerce has grown at the expense of physical stores. The introduction of self-checkout and the newly launched staff free Amazon Fresh Store in London is likely to mean more software technicians behind the scenes and fewer bodies on the shop floor.

An ageing population might mean the need for more qualified medical staff and developments in medical technology to assist independent living. A much bigger emphasis on the green economy might underpin a growth in renewable technology. Increased robotics and A.I. solutions look set to displace more office workers.

Overall, there will be more jobs in the future better suited to home working than now. RISE is positioned to take advantage of this.

Community

One other thing office working brings is a chance to socialise in a work community. This is a big gap for those now working from home. Again, RISE plays its part in the solution with physical group exercise sessions and connectivity to likeminded exercisers through our RISE App.

The world has changed and will continue to do so. RISE affords you the chance to take control of your income and to start an agile business that has already reacted to the new post COVID world.
