Tony Harris LockFit Birmingham South – His Journey So Far…

Back in April 2019, I took the plunge after careful consideration and regular communication to the senior team to take out a franchise with Lockfit.

I had spent 20 years in Telecoms in various senior sales and marketing roles and wanted to change career. I had no previous experience with locks, but it was something that really interested me to combine with my previous roles.

This was the best decision I have made to change not only my career but my personal life as well. The whole process from start to finish gave me a sense of confidence it was the right thing to do.

The training provided enabled me to confidently go out into the world as a locksmith with the confidence that even if I got stuck (which I did a couple of times) I had not only the Management team at LockFit to call but also the trainer who was available 24 hours a day.

Over the first 3 months, the Business grew more than expected, turning over double that I had within my Business plan.

To drive the Business further I decided to pursue housing associations, estate agents and property management companies.

One of the key drivers in being able to achieve this was the Lockfit Brand which made the process much simpler. Feedback from both consumers and Businesses said that the consistency and what LockFit stood for was the reason for choosing me to become the preferred supplier.

9 Months in and My Business has now taken a further step. I am now VAT registered with an expected Revenue of £120K+ in the first 12 months of trade. I am now expanding into Key Cutting with the first machine fitted into the van and I am in the process of taking an additional Locksmith.

Here’s to the next 12 months of growth, and I am already on track to reach record figures in 2020.
